Avocado can provide excellent creaminess and healthy fats to your morning smoothie. You can either use the store-bought frozen avocado chunks (a genius invention – no more brown avocados!) or just scoop some fresh avocado into your blender with your usual smoothie ingredients. No, I don’t mean force your avocado to chug a Smirnoff Ice. I mean use it as icing for your desserts! It might not sound like a logical idea, but just like avocado makes for smooth blended beverages, it can also produce creamy icing without having to use dairy. Have you ever thought of using avocado oil? Avocado oil is high in healthy fats and antioxidants. It has a very high smoke point, which makes it ideal for frying and its unique flavor makes it great for salad dressings too. Simply use it as you would olive oil in your favorite vinaigrette dressing.
In my opinion, not enough people take advantage of the avocado’s built-in flavor pocket.
