Everything’s Better With This Almond and Coconut Butter

Move over peanut butter! There’s a new nutty spread in town, and it might just become your new favorite. Gabriel, The Artful Desperado, has worked his culinary sorcery once again by creating this wholesome yet decadent spread. You’re gonna want to put this stuff on everything… but Gabriel likes to serve it with stewed raspberries.

Everything’s Better With This Almond & Coconut Butter Recipe

Almond and Coconut Butter 

  • 2 ½ cups roasted almonds, unsalted
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. If it’s too thick for your processor to handle, do it in batches. You can also add about ¼ cup of melted coconut oil to help make it smoother.
  2. Place the butter in a clean glass container with a lid in the fridge. It’ll stay fresh for about 2 weeks.

Stewed Raspberries

  • A bunch of raspberries
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Splash of water


  1. Place everything in a pot and simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool and serve with almond and coconut butter.

Super Rich Date Chocolate Mousse Recipe c/o Luvo


  • 3 bananas, soft but not overripe
  • 10 dates, pitted, soaked in hot water for 10 min
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
  • 5 tablespoons almond or cashew butter
  • 1 teaspoon all-natural vanilla extract
  • 1 avocado, soft but not overripe


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. You may need to add a splash of almond milk (just a teeny bit!) in case it’s too thick to blend.
  2. Place mousse in dessert cups and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  3. Serve chilled topped with chocolate shavings and enjoy!

*Serves 4
